Seminar: Israeli Brands in the Big Apple: Key Lessons for Successfully Launching Israeli Consumer Products in New York City and Beyond 

The Chamber, in cooperation with Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer law firm, is holding a seminar on Israeli Brands in the Big Apple: Key Lessons for Successfully Launching Israeli Consumer Products in New York City and Beyond, on Wednesday, Jan 25, 2012, 8:30-12:00, at the Dan Tel Aviv Hotel, 99 HaYarkon St., Tel Aviv.

Lecture: State-owned Funds and the Israeli Market

The Chamber held a lecture on State-Owned Funds and the Israeli Market with Dr. Efraim Chalamish, an international economic law scholar and advisor to corporations and governments and a lecturer at New York University, on Dec. 19, 2011. The lecture focused on activities, trends, fundraising and potential of Israeli-owned funds. The event was geared toward Corporate Executives, lawyers, accountants, investment professionals, fund managers.

Seminar: U.S. Tax Reporting Requirements

The Chamber held a seminar on U.S. Tax Reporting Requirements - for U.S. citizens and Green Card holders who are residents of Israel - and How to Solve Compliance Problems on December 15, 2011 at the Dan Hotel in Tel-Aviv. Ehud Kisch, Managing Partner at Kisch & CO CPAs, and Dave Wolf, Partner at Partner at Hacohen Wolf Law Offices, discussed significant issues related to taxation of U.S. citizens residing abroad.

Seminar: Developing Real Estate in the U.S.

The Chamber held its 2nd annual seminar on Developing Real Estate in the U.S. on Dec. 13, 2011 at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv, in cooperation with companies and investors geared toward further developing their investments in the U.S. More than 150 people were in attendance. The event was sponsored by Wasserman Comden Casselman & Esensten; Fox Rothschild LLP; Profimex and Erdinast Ben Nathan & Co.

Joint R&D Projects between Massachusetts and Israeli Companies - Initial Request for Proposals

The Israel Industry Center for R&D (MATIMOP)  – the government agency that generates and implements international cooperative industrial R&D programs between Israeli and foreign enterprises – invites Israeli companies to apply for cooperative R&D projects with Massachusetts companies in the fields of life sciences, clean energy, or information technology.

The deadline to submit applications is Feb. 6, 2012.

Every selected project will be financed by up to 50% of acknowledged R&D expenses, subject to R&D regulation and regulations of the Chief Scientist office at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor.
